It’s been a while!

Hi all! This past year has been a whirlwind to say the least. Clearly, our blog has fallen to the wayside, but I hope to make more frequent posts in the future.

Updates: Harrison is now 14 months and going strong! He’s the cutest little squirt this side of Wilmington. I might be a little bias though. He isn’t quite walking yet, but he is SO close. He’s still managing to get all over the house and into anything his little hands can reach. His new thing is pointing to whatever he wants to play with which is basically everything with lights now. He loves the microwave and Brian’s chess board pieces. He is off formula and on to whole milk and Carnation Instant Breakfast now. He still has issues with chunks of food, but the doctors don’t seem concerned and said that’s actually normal for his age. He had a fantastic 1st birthday and was visibly overwhelmed by all the love when we sang “Happy Birthday” to him. That has to be the most heart-warming experience I’ve had to date.

Our good friends are traveling all over the world and have been sharing their experiences on their blog. Follow “The Flowtrells” to share this experience with them. It has been such a treat to follow their journey! I’ll reblog their most recent post shortly.

The dogs are all doing fine, but we did lose one of our kitties this past year. Marley got sick all of a sudden with a mass in his stomach and had to be put down. The silver lining is that he is at peace and our other cat, Tiger, seems to actually be behaving much better in his absence. Harrison LOVES “ki ki” but the dogs keep their distance.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. Let the feasts begin! I hope to share some fun experiences and maybe even a recipe or two. Stay tuned!
